Body 1100 is a very light firing, porcelain-like stoneware quality without chamotte. The recommended firing range is 1200 °C – 1280 °C.
The body is almost as white as porcelain, although not translucent. Body 1100 is suitable for throwing on the potter’s wheel and it is good for combining with casting body 1100. Due to the light firing colour the luminosity of transparent glazes is increased.
