Body 441 is a light to cream-coloured firing earthenware body with 45 % chamotte 0.2 – 0.8 mm. The recommended firing range is 1000 °C – 1180 °C.
This body is particularly suitable for the fabrication of large-sized pieces because of the proportion of low-dust special chamotte. Body 441 is the preferred choice for Raku-firing because of its high thermal shock resistance.
