Body 354 is a light red to dark red firing stoneware quality with 25 % chamotte 0 – 0.2 mm.
The recommended firing range is 980 °C – 1200 °C.
The plastic body is suitable for building-up smaller pieces as well as for throwing on the potter’s wheel, where it is also particularly suitable for larger pieces. The warm red colour of the fired body shows to particular advantage unglazed; or as undercoat for faience painting.
