Ceramic body 551 is a light red to dark red firing stoneware quality with 40 % chamotte 0 – 0.2 mm. The recommended firing range is 1000 °C – 1240 °C. The plastic body is very well suitable for building-up smaller to medium-sized pieces and for throwing of large pieces on the potter’s wheel. The warm red colour of the fired body is kept even at higher temperatures.
