Ceramic body 480 is a light firing stoneware body which is characterized by a high proportion of coarse chamotte 40 % with a grain size of 0 – 2 mm.
Due to this grain size, rustic generously made surfaces are created with body 480 which determine the architectural ceramic objects and sculptures made of this quality.
The firing range is 1000 °C – 1260 °C.

Thick-walled ceramics can be safely built-up with body 480.
