Body 254 is a popular, very plastic pottery quality.
It contains 25 % chamotte and has a fine grain size of 0 – 0.2 mm. The body is suitable for throwing on the potter’s wheel as well as for building-up smaller pieces. In addition to these applications, body 254 is also used for differentiated modelling works of medium-size.
The firing range is 1000 °C – 1280 °C.
